Nevertheless, the architectural story is complicated by the time and details. Americans traveling in the early 1900s had a renewed interest in European revival styles, which could include a mix of Spanish and Italiante motifs. Most common were the stucco exteriors, semi-circular windows, and black wrought iron railings. All of the European influenced elements are present here, but other aspects complicate the analysis.
