Historic Name:
Description: Situated near the short pathway connecting to the earliest areas of the Circles, this home illustrates the construction period and architectural styles linking Thornwood Lane over the decades. One of several neighboring homes built in historic revival styles, this unique example includes details which have been described as both French and other eclectic revival styles, e.g. the brick quoins which accent the corners. In some such subtypes of French eclectic styles, the front facade is symmetrical with a central entry, based upon classical manor houses. In this instance, note the star motif, repeated in the details of the entrance. The projecting balconette of wrought iron with polished accents is also very distinctive.
