The building's broad masses reveal the influence of the Prairie School, and are defined by carefully detailed brickwork with corners anchored by extensively glazed solaria made of piers rising through the first two floors and the third covered by a broad, low arch. A hipped, tiled roof closes the top of the design. Andrews, the architect of record, was a contractor who owned and lived in the building.
